Hospital visit this am, after 7 weeks in plaster non weight baring i was hoping to be able to start weight baring from today, ..... but no another plaster fibre glass, but still non weight baring for 4 weeks

The surgeon checked x-rays and said that i would need ankle replacement in the future, not great news, I was hoping that this op (Fusion) would be the end.

oh well on the plus side i will be visiting my parents who are living in Eire in June, not flying due to plaster, going by ferry, we will be taking the dog, we will have a cabin, have a little nap on the way i love that, a little bit of luxury on a short sail, the journey to Wales, makes me so tired, hubby is good and stops often.

thanks for listening to my moan.

I'm so sorry you're still in plaster! I'm sure you're bitterly disappointed but hopefully it will be worth the extra wait.

Your trip in June sounds great! I've never been on a ferry before so I'm green with envy. If you can have a cabin, it'll be wonderful.

Hello Ann-Marie, this is a terrible dissapointment for you, I'm sure going away for a while will help pass the time. I hope the weather is good for you that always makes us feel better. Take good care of yourself. x

Hi Ann-Marie

Sorry to hear about your ankle problems; hope you're not in too much discomfort. The plaster must be driving you mad by now!

You will no doubt be travelling the A55 expressway to Holyhead. There is a great Little Chef just past Bodelwyddan, before you reach Conwy, they do lovely breakfasts and hot chocolate drinks in a pleasant atmosphere. Well worth a stop! Called in many times on route to Bangor Uni to collect/visit daughter!

Enjoy Eire

Mary you are right its a small world, were you born in Eire? do you visit often? I love Wexford the beaches are good all around there.

Lynn we travel Pembroke to Rosslare via the Isle of Inishmore, takes about 4hrs, we have traveled this way a good few times we have stopped there many times and they do a nice hot chocolate you are quite right.
